Pre-Game vs. Albany 12/1

Greetings from the Glens Falls Civic Center, where the Adirondack Phantoms (9-10) and Albany Devils (4-8-0-5) are on the ice for warmups. Adirondack is looking to avoid its first three-game losing streak of the season, while Albany, currently last in the American Hockey League, is looking to snap its four-game winless streak. They Devils have also lost six of their past seven -- and their lack of offense is a big reason why. They're averaging 2.18 goals per game, tied for 28th in the AHL.

Cal Heeter gets the nod in net for Adirondack. It's his first start since Nov. 17 at Syracuse, when he allowed five goals on 22 shots, and his first home start since Nov. 2. Scott Munroe gets the night off after allowing four goals on seven shots in Friday's loss to Binghamton. None of them were his fault.

A couple of line-up changes. Marc-Andre Bourdon, who flat out told me he wasn't good defensively last night, is scratched. (EDIT: Anthony SanFilippo, the Flyers inside reporter, says he's sick. Will find out after the game.) Former Albany River Rats defenseman Zack FitzGerald is in for him. Zac Rinaldo, who took a shot off his foot last night and was icing it after the game, is also scratched. He'll miss his first game of the season. Mike Testwuide is in for him and we have three new lines below.

First, though, one link tonight -- an interesting read on Toronto Marlies winger Matt Frattin, who's back from a knee injury and has scored seven goals in six games.
